Ghormley Sightings

by root last modified 2006-06-05 13:20

This page is for sitings of the Ghormley name in parks, movies, books, roads, towns, geological features, etc.

  • There is a Ghormley forest (not sure of the spelling) in the animated movie Wizards (1977).
  • This one's submitted by my cousin Jana:  In the animated movie Flight of the Dragons (1982) the characters must venture through Ghormley Gate within Ghormley Keep (spelling is not certain); too bad that Ghormley Keep is guarded by a hideous ogre (or some kind of wrinkled magical creature).
  • There is a Ghormley Meadow Christian Camp in Washington.
  • There is a Camp Ghormley in Washington (which seems to be the same as Ghormley Meadow Christian Camp).
  • There is a Ghormley Road in Fayette county, Ohio, which the locals claim is haunted.  There is also a Ghormley School historical site in the same county.
  • There is a Ghormley Park in Moscow, Idaho.
  • There is a Ghormley Mountain in Cherokee County, North Carolina. More info here.
  • There is a Ghormley Cemetery in Mayes County, Oklahoma.
  • There is a Ghormley Ave. in Oakland, CA (which I find slightly amusing since I lived just north of there for 7 years and never knew about it).
  • There is a Loch Gorm in Ireland.
